Become the default family dentist for Mueller, Cherrywood and Windsor Park and grow new-patient bookings by 30%.

You already retain patients exceptionally well. The gap is at the top of the funnel: discovery searches for 'dentist near me' in northeast Austin pass over your profile because it reads as a generic practice. We will reposition it as the family-focused practice it actually is.

/ executive summary

Riverside Family Dental scores 62/100. Verified, well-reviewed (4.8/315), with the right hours and a working booking link — but the categories, attributes and content read like every other dental office in Austin. Two competitors within 1.4 miles publish Posts weekly and have 3x the photos. The path to winning the 'family dentist Mueller' cluster is precision and consistency, not paid ads.

/ market context

Northeast Austin grew 14% in residents under 12 since 2021. Searches for 'pediatric dentist' and 'family dentist' in the 78723 ZIP rose 22% year over year. The local pack is contested by three offices, only one of which lists 'Pediatric dentist' as a category.

/ why now

Mueller's new elementary school opens in January, and parent Facebook groups are already asking for dentist recommendations. Establishing authority now compounds for the entire 2026 enrollment cohort.

FAQpost 01

When Should a Child Have Their First Dental Visit?

The American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry recommends a first visit by age 1, or within six months of the first tooth coming in — whichever happens first. We call these 'happy visits'. They last 15 minutes, your child sits in your lap, and we look, count, and hand out a new toothbrush. No cleaning, no instruments unless your child is curious. The goal is for them to associate the dental office with a calm, friendly room. We offer these visits free of charge for first-time families in the Mueller neighborhood. Book through our website or call (512) 555-0192.

Saturday Emergency Hours: Next Available October 19

We're open the third Saturday of every month from 9am to 1pm for dental emergencies — broken teeth, lost crowns, severe pain, and post-extraction concerns. Next Saturday clinic is October 19. Same-day weekday emergency slots are also held open from 11am to noon and from 4 to 5pm Monday through Thursday. Call (512) 555-0192 first; voicemail rolls to Dr. Hutchinson's cell after hours. If we can't see you, we'll route you to the right place — we don't want you waiting in pain on a weekend.

Whitening Special for Existing Patients — $295 Through November

If you've had a cleaning with us in the past 12 months, take-home whitening trays are $295 (regularly $395) through November 30. That includes custom-fitted trays from your existing impressions, two syringes of professional-strength gel, and an in-office check-in three weeks later. We don't run whitening promotions often — this is a thank-you to patients who've kept up with their 6-month visits. Mention this post when you call to schedule. Not eligible for new patients or for whitening done in-office.

FAQpost 04

Do You Take My Insurance?

We're in-network with Delta Dental PPO, Blue Cross Blue Shield (PPO and FEP), MetLife, Cigna PPO, United Concordia, and Aetna PPO. We also file claims as a courtesy with most other plans even when out-of-network, which often means you pay close to in-network rates after your benefits. For HMO and DMO plans we're typically out-of-network. Call our front desk with your member ID and we'll run a real benefits check before your appointment — no surprises at checkout. Self-pay patients get 5% off when paying at time of service.

sms ask

Hi {firstName}, Aisha at Riverside Family Dental. Thanks for coming in. If you have a minute, a short Google review really helps us out: {reviewLink}

in-person ask

If the visit went well today, the best way you can support a small practice is a quick Google review. We'll text you the link before you leave — only if you genuinely had a good experience.

★★★★★Parent praises the team for handling their child's first cleaning.

Thank you, Jessica. Mia did wonderfully — she even wanted to keep the cape. Camila will be so glad you mentioned her by name. We'll see Mia in six months; in the meantime, the sticker drawer at the front desk is always open if you're in the neighborhood.

★★★★Loved the dentistry, wait time was longer than expected.

Thank you for the honest feedback, Marcus. A 22-minute wait past your scheduled time isn't the experience we want, and on that Wednesday we were running behind because of an emergency we took in at 9am. We've added an extra buffer slot to Wednesday mornings going forward. Glad the hygiene visit itself went well, and we'll do better on the front end next time.

★★★★★Quality care, but felt the treatment plan was rushed and didn't fully understand costs.

Diana, thank you for telling us — this is exactly the kind of feedback we need. We're piloting a 'treatment plan walkthrough' appointment that's specifically for going over options and out-of-pocket costs in detail before any work starts. I'd like to offer you one of those visits at no charge. Please email aisha@riversidedentalatx.com and we'll get you on the calendar.

★★★★★Felt upsold on a procedure they weren't sure they needed.

James, I appreciate you raising this directly. We never want a patient to feel pressured — and if it landed that way, the explanation wasn't clear enough. I'd like to personally review the treatment plan with you and walk through why each item was recommended, with X-rays in front of us. No charge, and you walk out with whatever decision feels right. Please email me at elena@riversidedentalatx.com. — Dr. Hutchinson

★★★★Billing dispute and a delayed insurance claim.

Ms. Alvarez, I'm sorry — a six-week delay on an insurance claim is on us, not on you. Aisha will be reaching out to you directly today to walk through the claim status and refund any amount you've paid above what your benefits cover. We'd like the chance to make this right. — Dr. Elena Hutchinson
