Own the 'Italian restaurant Park Slope' map pack and lift weekday reservations by 25%.

Bella Trattoria already has the food and the loyal regulars. The profile, photos and review cadence don't yet match the kitchen. Tightening categories, descriptions and content will pull discovery searches off 5th Avenue and onto your floor.

/ executive summary

Bella Trattoria scores a 58/100 today: a verified profile with strong reviews but underdeveloped categories, a generic description, and only 14 photos — most uploaded by guests. You are losing 'near me' impressions to two newer trattorias on 7th Avenue that post weekly and respond to every review. The work below closes that gap without changing anything about how you run the dining room.

/ market context

Park Slope sees roughly 9,400 'italian restaurant' related searches per month within a 2-mile radius, and 41% of those come from mobile users between 5pm and 9pm. The local pack is dominated by three competitors, none of whom highlight handmade pasta.

/ why now

Google's recent local-pack refresh rewards profiles with weekly Posts and category specificity. Two of your competitors are missing key attributes (Outdoor seating, Reservations). Acting in the next 30 days lets you take their slots before they catch up.

long · ~750 chars

Bella Trattoria is a family-run Italian restaurant in Park Slope, Brooklyn, serving handmade pasta, wood-fired Neapolitan pizza, and a curated list of regional Italian wines. Marco and Sofia Rinaldi opened the dining room in 2014 after a decade cooking in Bologna and Naples, and every sauce, dough and tiramisu is still made in-house each morning. The room seats 48 inside and 22 on the sidewalk patio from April through October, with weekday lunch service for the brownstone crowd and a four-course tasting menu on Wednesday nights. Walk-ins are welcome at the bar; reservations are recommended on Friday and Saturday. Private dining for up to 30 is available in the back room for birthdays, rehearsal dinners and small corporate gatherings.

Wednesday Pasta Tasting — $20 Off Through October

Our five-course handmade pasta tasting changes weekly with whatever the farms send. This month we're working with heirloom squash from Bodhitree Farm, Calabrian chili, and brown-butter sage. Wednesday seatings at 6 and 8pm get $20 off per guest when you book through Resy with code PASTAWED. Wine pairings are optional and pour from small Emilia-Romagna and Campania producers. Limited to 24 seats per night; vegetarian and gluten-free menus available with 24 hours notice. The full menu refreshes every Monday, so this is the moment to try the early-fall pastas before they rotate.

Patio Now Open Through November

We extended sidewalk service through the first week of November this year. The patio is heated, blanket-stocked, and seats 22 with full menu and wine list. Walk-ins for two are usually available before 6:30pm on weekdays. Reservations on Friday and Saturday are filling about a week out — book through Resy or call us at (718) 555-0148. We're still serving lunch Tuesday through Friday, and Sunday Sauce family meals every Sunday from 4 to 8pm. Thank you to everyone who made this our busiest fall on record; we appreciate every table.

Emilia-Romagna Wine Dinner — November 14

Five courses, five producers, one night. We're hosting importer Oliver McCrum and three winemakers from Emilia-Romagna for an evening of lambrusco, sangiovese di romagna and trebbiano alongside dishes we've been working on with the Bologna playbook: tortellini in brodo, tagliatelle al ragù, and a coffee-rubbed pork loin. $145 per guest, all-in. Seating at 7pm sharp in the main room — limited to 32. This is our quarterly winemaker dinner and they sell out within 10 days. Dietary accommodations possible with notice.

Do You Take Walk-Ins?

Yes — always at the bar, and usually at tables before 6:30pm on weekdays. The bar has 8 seats with the full menu (including pizzas) and is first-come, first-served. On Friday and Saturday evenings the dining room is reserved-only from 6pm to 9pm; the bar and patio remain walk-in. If you're more than 20 minutes out, leave a phone number with the host and we'll text when a table opens. For parties of 5 or more, please book on Resy — we can't seat large parties as walk-ins. Sunday Sauce service from 4 to 8pm is walk-in only, family-style.

Sunday Sauce — Bring the Whole Family for $42

Sunday Sauce is the way Marco grew up eating: a slow-simmered tomato gravy with braised pork ribs, sausage and meatballs, served family-style over rigatoni with Caesar and garlic bread. $42 per guest, kids under 12 are $18. Wine is half-off the bottle every Sunday from 4 to 8pm. Walk-in only — no reservations, no waitlist, just come hungry. There's almost always a table by 5pm or after 7. Leftovers come home in proper containers because that's the point. See you Sunday.

Hi {firstName}, it was great having you with us {dayOfWeek}. If our team took care of you, would you mind sharing a quick line on Google? sms ask

Hi {firstName}, Marco from Bella Trattoria. Thanks for joining us. If we earned it, a one-line Google review really helps us out: {reviewLink}

in-person ask

If you had a good time tonight, the single best thing you can do for us is leave a quick Google review. I'll text you the link before you leave — no pressure, only if it was a good night.

★★★★★Anniversary couple loved the tasting menu and Sofia's hospitality.

Sara, thank you for celebrating your anniversary with us — that's the kind of night we open the doors for. Sofia will be so glad you mentioned her by name; she ran the room that Saturday on three hours of sleep. Come back for the next pasta tasting in November, we'll save you the corner two-top.

★★★★Loved the food, felt the service was rushed on a Friday night.

Daniel, thank you for the honest note. Fridays after 7pm we are turning tables harder than we should and you felt it — that's on us. We're testing a longer turn window on weekends starting next month. Please come back on a Tuesday or Wednesday and we'll show you the version of the service we aim for every night.

★★★★★Food was good, room was loud, asked about gluten-free options that weren't available.

Hi Priya, you're right on both counts. The brick wall sends sound straight into the dining room and we have acoustic panels arriving in October. Our gluten-free pasta menu is available with 24 hours notice — we should have made that clearer when you booked. I'll personally make sure it's ready next time. Email me at marco@bellatrattoria.nyc and I'll set it up.

★★★★★Reservation was delayed 25 minutes, server seemed flustered, food was fine.

Lauren, a 25-minute wait on a held reservation is not acceptable and I'm sorry. We over-seated the 7:30 turn that night because a six-top stayed past their window — that's a planning failure on our end, not on the server. I'd like to have you back as my guest; please email me directly at marco@bellatrattoria.nyc with a few dates that work.

★★★★Customer claims they were given the wrong dish and overcharged.

Mark, I'm sorry — neither of those things should ever happen. I'd like to understand what went wrong and make it right. Could you email me at marco@bellatrattoria.nyc with the date of your visit and the name on the reservation? I'll pull the ticket and follow up the same day. — Marco Rinaldi, Owner

/ competitive edge

  • Only Park Slope Italian restaurant with a Stefano Ferrara wood-fired oven on premises.
  • Marco trained in Bologna; the ragù recipe predates the dining room by 18 years.
  • Sunday Sauce family meal at $42 is the most generous family-style price point in the neighborhood.
  • Private back room handles 30 guests without renting out the entire restaurant — rare in Park Slope.
  • Quarterly winemaker dinners with the importer in attendance — direct producer relationships, not retail wine.
